New Blog is up!
Just wanted to stop by to say that my new blog is almost up and running and I will be switching over to posting to it - you can expect to see my first post sometime this week. I hope to get some time to do some layouts this week to post!
View it here: http://tinkermama05.blogspot.com
I will be deleting this blog sometime after this weekend.

Important!
In an effort to make my life just that much easier, I am moving all layouts, posts, and P365 related items over to a new blog - it is still in the re-design process but hopefully I will have it up by this weekend and running. I will keep this blog up for just long enough to get that blog finished then I will be deleting it. This will put me down to having only two blogs - one for my designs, and one for my personal, CT, and 365-related items. SO much easier!
Anyway, like I said it's still being designed, but you can find it here: http://tinkermama05.blogspot.com/
I will make an official post once it's all done!

Finishing up Wk 13, and some Wk 14!
I can already tell you I'll be at this a while so I'm just gonna get right into it...
March 31 - So we actually colored eggs the night I last posted but I needed a photo for the 31st lol. Isaac had a blast and did so well coloring the eggs. We actually dyed them for him to keep the mess to a minimum, but he did about half the decorating - I let him go crazy but he got bored and left about 10 eggs undecorated so I finished them for him.
April 1 - It's been so nice lately that we couldn't resist taking Isaac outside to play with his bubbles that he loves oh so much.
April 2 - It was really nice and hot outside this day but we had a package of chili that we still hadn't made so I decided to make it. It was delicious!
April 3 - He's at it again. This time he thought he had to play drums and his dad thought he had to help him. After he showed him how to keep beat and what notes to beat on, he had it down to a science!
April 4, Easter - You have no idea how proud I am of this photo right here. I've been reading up on a blog called Pioneer Woman about photography and the basics of it. I have a better understanding than I did a few days ago, although some of it is still fuzzy. But can you tell what a difference it has made? Isaac made out like a bandit today - at least 4 baskets, 1 and a half full of nothing but candy, at least 7 new DVDs (I didn't count), several shirts (a couple with shorts), a few new toys and he even managed to convince Josh to give him his old GameBoy Advance and all the games for it. We spent the day over at my aunt's house, stuffed ourselves full of ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and rolls. I have no less than over 400 pictures to show for the whole thing. We had an Easter egg hunt, opened Isaac's baskets, played outside in the beautiful weather with bubbles, Isaac went over to one of my old friends (I'm talking elementary school) houses to play on his son's swingset...yeah, I'd say he had a good day. Too bad Heath only got to be there for about 2 hours of it...but at least he got to see Isaac hunt eggs and he got a good lunch!
Like I said, I have no less than over 400 photos from Easter to share. Rather than posting them here, I'm uploading them to Webshots so you can take a look at them. I haven't started yet - I've been writing photos to CDs for my aunt and mother but I'm 3 minutes from being done with this one and I've only got 2 more with a lot less photos on them. Regardless, because I shot most of them in RAW and the file sizes are large, it's going to take me a while. But I'm going to start soon. I'm only going to upload the best ones, to save time and space on my Webshots. I'll come back and put up a link when they're done.
Heath and I are both talking about applying for Pell Grants (we both qualify, at least) and taking some college classes to get our degrees. I'm going tomorrow or Tuesday to talk to some advisors at the community college about what options are available for me as far as Photography related degrees. Chances are, there's nothing especially for photographers. My other option is Graphic Design, which is only my second choice. It includes 1 Photography class, but I just don't know that I want to pursue that at this time. If I do decide to go the Graphic Design route, I can either do a one-year certificate or a 2-year for my associate's degree (that sounds nice, having an associate's degree!)...I just have to find out the specifics as far as options, class, the grant, daycare, how it's going to be affected by Heath working and having the car all the time...when I figure out more, hopefully I'll have an update!
Okay I'm off to start on those photos on Webshots and to finish these CDs for my family.

Some Week 13 Photos
Here today to share some of my Week 13 photos from P365 - which is surprisingly going strong again.
March 26 - A shot of Isaac's messy bedroom. He went into his closet, threw all his toys out, and left them all over the floor. I cleaned it up the next day, but it didn't stay (did I really expect it to?). Surprisingly today, he went back in and cleaned it all up.
March 27 - Isaac laid down on the couch, naked as a jaybird (as usual) and cuddled up with a blanket to watch cartoons. Caught him mid-thumb-chewing. Not sucking, mind you...chewing. What can I say, my kid's weird.
March 28 - This pretty much sums up our whole day lol.
March 29 - I fell sick with the flu - I was throwing up all night - so I laid in bed pretty much all day and rested. I also pulled out my laptop (which is now fixed enough that I can actually work on it, yay!) and did some scrapping.
March 30 - Heath's first day off today in quite a while, and such a beautiful day that we decided to go to the park. We packed up a picnic lunch with turkey sandwiches, bananas and Pringles and headed out to the park. This is mid-lunch, and such a great shot. Isaac had a ton of fun at the park and I got some great photos. We left early and went to the arcade down in the mall, and then we went Easter shopping.
It's been a busy day today and about to get even busier - Isaac wants to go outside to play with his new Easter toys - water guns, a plastic ball, and bubbles. We passed up the candy this year because I'm sure my family will load him up on Sunday when we do his baskets and an Easter Egg Hunt. Also we bought some stuff to color eggs, he probably wants to do that tonight but we'll see.
Okay headed outside now - I'll be back this weekend with the rest of this week's photos, the layout, and maybe some more layouts that I've done.

P365 - Week 12
So I (finally) got back into the P365 wagon. I managed to get all my pictures this week. I've actually been writing down to do them in my designing planner. I've become more organized because I write to-do lists for each day. They usually end up being very long but usually I get the important stuff done rather than putting it off.
Here's my Week 12 layout:
19: This is actually an old picture but I did take it with P365 in mind. Isaac made yellow Play-Doh pancakes.
20: New Moon came out today and while my parents were in Wichita they picked it up for me.
21: We've got a lot of laundry to catch up on. The kittens like to sleep in the baskets of laundry that needs to be folded.
22: Still catching up on laundry.
23: Just a shot of my planner and to-do lists.
24: Heath cooked home-made fried chicken today since he had today off. It was delicious!
25: Isaac playing with a few car toys.
I'm making this post really short because I've been hard at work all day. I'm pretty tired and getting ready to start supper and sit down to relax and watch House and Law and Order: SVU.

Whoops!
Okay, so I got a little behind.
Okay, so I got a LOT behind. About two months worth actually. Things just got really busy behind the scenes. Before you know it, my batteries in my camera died and I put off buying new ones because I had ordered my new camera and was waiting for that to come in, then I was too busy taking pictures of random stuff to even care about Project 365 (if that makes any sense, since most my P365 pictures ARE of random stuff). I'm really wanting to start back up, it was really fun scrapping those P365 weekly layouts, but every time I ready my camera to take a new daily picture, I freeze up and have no idea what to photograph. Maybe I need to refer to my wonderful "365 Ideas" list that I have bookmarked. I do plan on starting it back up in the next week or so, so more to come on that later.
I still have some pictures from my last like 5 days of my P365 attempt, but I won't bother sharing those. Instead today I'll share some layouts I've done recently - I've been finding more time to scrap instead of design, so I have a lot to share!
These photos were taken back in January. You might recognize them as one of my P365 photos actually. This was the day that was chilly but actually very nice for a January day in Kansas so we took Isaac to the little park up north of town. He had a blast of course.
More P365 photos, because it seems like that's all I took in January lol. This was done for a challenge at Scrappity-Doo-Dah.com to use a template and the provided mini kit. I think the only ones not featured in this layout are me, Heath, and the dog.
This layout was done for a challenge for the Amazing Digi-Scrap Race, which is going very well for Tiffany and me. We have a couple more weeks left and we're a little burnt out (at least I am) but we're still going strong. The challenges keep getting harder and harder but nothing I can't handle! The challenge was to use 5 pictures, and one had to have the number 5 in it (thus the picture of Isaac holding up a 5). We also had to use 5 of the same embellishment (mine are the hearts), and our title had to be something along the lines of "5 Things I Love About...". I chose to scrap about Heath and I being together almost 5 years and what I love about it. I had my fill of 5's that week, I'll tell you!
This is one of my first layouts with pictures taken with my new camera. This was actually a couple of days after I got it and I followed Isaac around like a mad woman just snapping pictures. He was laying down on the couch talking to me while I was snapping pictures.
Another layout with photos taken with my new camera. This was for another challenge at Scrappity-Doo-Dah, for March. The challenge was to take a photo and extract something out of it, so that it looked like your subject was popping out of a frame. I've never done a photo like that before but it was so fun and easy that I will definitely do it again. It's been nice here lately so I've taken Isaac outside to burn off some energy. We're trying to teach him how to ride his little bike this summer. It's difficult because our yard is not flat, it's bumpy, filled with dirt, and uneven. I hesitate to take him out to the road because we can't always hear cars approaching down our road, and I don't want to be so busy taking pictures that I can't hear a car coming. Maybe Heath and I can take him down to one of the schools on the weekend, where my dad taught me how to ride my bike.
This is a two-page layout I did of our trip to the zoo this past weekend. We were looking to do something fun, really cheap since we were low on funds, and something outside because the weather was SO beautiful. We decided to go to the zoo. Although our zoo is pretty barren, Isaac had fun and I got some new shots so we were all happy. This layout is of Isaac's favorite thing to see at the zoo, the ducks. He loves feeding them, so when we go to the zoo we always have to make sure to have a few quarters handy for the little seed machine. He's too afraid to have them eat out of his hand, although I'm sure it won't take him long, since his middle name is Danger lol.
This layout actually has kind of a fun story to tell. The other night (I think it was Monday) we were trying to get Isaac to go to bed and he was throwing a fit (as usual). He wanted to do nothing but watch his dad play Guitar Hero. So I bargained with him that he could play one song himself then go to bed. He was playing the hardest song in the game on easy, and doing very well at it, so we put on a different song, Smoke On The Water, and put it on beginner, just to see if he could pass it. It's a very easy song, so we were sure he would pass it. Well, he did, and he got an 82%. Now, it's not a big accomplishment, but it does show how musically talented he is, and how amazingly talented he is at video games he already is for a three-year-old. And yeah, we were proud of him - how many parents can say their 3-year-old passed a song on Guitar Hero with an 82%?
This layout is for another challenge for the Amazing Digi-Scrap Race. Our challenge was to write a Bucket List of 50 Things we'd like to do before we die. This was quite a challenge for me - 1. I'm 23, I haven't really taken the time to think about these things, 2. I'm 23, I'm not thinking about dying anytime soon, 3. Coming up with 50 things is really hard. By Wednesday (the challenge was due Sunday) I had 35 things and I was well on my way. I was planning on starting the layout on Friday, when I discovered my list was gone. I'd written everything on a piece of paper and it was lost, probably thrown in the trash. Saturday I threw another list together in about a half an hour (with mostly things that I remember being on my previous one) and got the layout done. It's with my new kit Rememberance. I think it turned out pretty good, I'm not sure I like the title where it is or the alpha I used. The picture is from a batch of sunset pictures we took out at the lake in the beginning of March.
Another layout for the ADSR. This challenge was the one that came after the Bucket List, and obviously inspired by that. We were to scrap our Someday. You know that thing that you say "Someday, I will..." but you always put off. Mine wasn't necessarily something I'd put off because of laziness. I chose to scrap that Someday, Heath and I will have another baby, but we put it off because I'm not ready yet.
These pictures are from 2009 that I never got the time to scrap before now. Tiff put out a Valentine's kit called "Crush" and it was the perfect opportunity to scrap these old photos of Isaac. And yes, when I say I will show it to his girlfriends one day, I mean it lol.
These pictures were taken back in 2009, when my Uncle Gary came down to visit (twice in one year, we were happy!)...we were outside most of the time because the guys were putting new siding on my grandma's house. Isaac found a little ball and we played some catch, "baseball", and other ball games lol.
I personally think this is just about one of the cutest layouts I've made. The only thing I would change is that it looks like some things are just hanging mid-air, but maybe that's what makes it cute. These pictures are from way back in 2007, I've been trying to catch up on old pictures.
Now these photos are from back in January of 2006. Like I said, I've been trying to catch up on old photos. This is back when Heath and I first met, at my 19th birthday party.
From 2007, the barbeque my family had to celebrate Heath and I's one-year anniversary and Josh's belated birthday.
I *think* this photo is from 2007, but I'm not entirely sure. I know my parents were on vacation in Dallas or somewhere like that.
A two-pager of old photos from the lake (not from the new batch) from 2008 or 2009. I think it was 2008.
Another photo from the lake photos of 08 or 09. (I think my tag says 08.) You can't see it because of the really bad shadows but Heath and Isaac are standing in the middle of those trees.
Another layout for a challenge, this was for the March challenge with a mini kit that was provided. Perfect chance to scrap these old St. Patty's photos from last year.
I do believe that's enough sharing from me today, I'm tired of dragging and dropping all those photos. However, I still do have more layouts to share, so I'll probably be back tomorrow to share some. I have been working on Isaac's baby album, trying to get it done so I can maybe print it off, so I have some adorable layouts to show you from that, and also from the baby shower and some layouts from my high school album which I'm also trying to finish up. Also, I'm going to really start trying to get back up on my P365 and sharing those.
Okay, so I got a LOT behind. About two months worth actually. Things just got really busy behind the scenes.

More Project 365!
It should be illegal to be up this early in the morning. It's 7AM here and I've been up since 6AM - Heath went in early to do some more manager training. Isaac is thankfully still sleeping so the good news is I have some quiet time. He may sleep for an hour longer or more, he's not feeling very good. I think maybe he has some sinuses or allergies, because he doesn't act like he's sick to his stomach - you can just hear he's very nasal and it sounds like his throat hurts. Poor kid! He took two doses of Motrin last night one around 7PM and another around 11PM before we put him to bed and acted like he felt much better after the first dose, after all he was running around like a mad man lol.
It's been a couple days since I posted again and I have more Project 365 photos to share.
January 16 - It was a typical day, which is why I have no exciting picture. I'm starting to find that most of our days are very typical and boring. It was my dad's birthday, so I texted him to wish him a happy birthday. Heath spent the better part of the entire day over at Josh's house washing some laundry. He was there from about 10AM to after 5PM - Isaac went with him and he played Mario Kart for about 3 hours Heath said lol, then he wanted to watch the Karate Kid. I, however, stayed home to set a new product up in the store - which took FOREVER, because it's a large product with multiple pieces. Then I did some things I'd been needing to do for a long time related to my designing. By the time Heath got home I was practically screaming save me lol.
January 17 - Another typical day, in fact very boring. Heath and I took a quick trip to the store and were back by 11AM. He threw supper in the crock pot and then cleaned the house for me, I worked on some more designing, as if I hadn't had enough the day before lol. I get most of my good work done on the weekends now that Heath is home, because Isaac pretty much dotes on his dad on the weekends. I spend way too much time on my designing and too little time on my house, but my career is really starting to take off and there's so much work that goes into it behind the scenes - advertising, taking part in charity work - like the charity kit that will go on sale in February for Haiti relief that I just finished my portion for, a portion or all of the proceeds will go to Haiti to relief and rescue efforts. That stuff takes so much work and it's such boring work that I hate to do it, I'd much rather be creating stuff. That night after we ate supper, I got pretty sick. I threw up all my supper and felt very achy in my back. I still didn't feel good after a 30-minute nap so we went ahead and went to bed.
January 18 - Still sick. I spent all morning in the position you see in the photo - laying on the couch, with 2 pillows propped up and a blanket, with my computer on my lap. I couldn't do any designing, since my program on my laptop isn't working, and I didn't feel like it to begin with, so I spent all day surfing the web. I'd spent 11PM-4AM sleeping very restlessly, tossing and turning and waking up in intervals because of my sick stomach. At 4AM I threw up again and after that I felt a lot better and slept better, but I still wasn't up to par. Heath brought me some soup and after I ate I seemed to feel much better so I got up to start working on some more stuff. My friend Tiffany and I decided to start a collab kit that we will use to prepare for our upcoming spot in something called the Amazing Digi-Scrap Race - you pair up with a partner and you and your partner complete 2 challenges a week, for a total of 4 layouts a week, racing from store to store in order for a chance to win a grand prize. A lot of people take part and I don't have a clue as to what the prize is, but it's apparently a lot of fun. I'll tell more about that later since I don't know a lot of details yet. That night we went to get groceries and brought home KFC - I didn't eat very well since I was still a little sick to my stomach, and we went to bed kind of early.
January 19 - I woke up feeling much better but like I said, Isaac didn't. The weather is just so sluggish that we feel like doing nothing but staying indoors. This is what we woke up to yesterday morning - frost on the trees and a little bit of snow. You can see it a little on our roof, but the wind was blowing so it's all gone now. I haven't looked outside this morning to see whether the trees are still frosted over but I'm sure they're not. I felt much better so I got around at about 10AM to do a little cleaning. After I cleaned up I felt even better - I think I could have cleaned up on Monday but I was afraid to even get up and do anything too strenuous because I didn't want to get sick again. I think just getting up and doing something and making my house look better improved my mood which improved my health. I don't know, that's just a theory lol. I finished up my portion for the Haiti project and worked on part of the kit that Tiffany and I are doing. That night I had to do some little extras to prepare for the $1 sale that's going on at my store today. That wiped me out, along with keeping Isaac up until 11 so he could take another dose of medicine, so we put him to bed and then we went to bed.
Today will probably be much the same - I have some more advertising to do then depending upon what I feel like doing I'll either work some more or pick up the rest of the house. Picking up shouldn't take long, maybe about an hour. I cleaned out the litterbox yesterday so Heath gets to do the dishes and clean the tub, that was the deal lol, but sometimes I just get impatient and restless and end up doing stuff myself. I'll be back sometime this weekend (hopefully) to post more pictures and soon I'll have time to catch up on my layouts. I have the pictures at least so I'm doing a good job there.
